A ship with that much wind in its sails should be moving fairly fast. I think that the idea is to show the ship becalmed. Unfortunately, I don't know that any of the artists who have created 3D sailing-ships have also created sails which are fully extended, but not catching a wind. There's an obvious need for that and it would apply the finishing touch to your beautiful picture.
