Description

The National Collegiate Rowing Championships are May 23-25 this year. Competitors are grunting it out over the same course as the major event next month. Rowers come from all over this country to Melton Hill Lake in Tennessee, USA...they practice and practice then put it all together in the actual regatta, hoping for win. The Melton Hill venue is one of the best in the country, according to the competitors. Sigma 100-300 f/4 zoom lens at 300mm. Shot with Nikon D70, ISO 200, f/5.0, 1/1250 sec. With sun light from the far side of the lake, spot metering was used to keep the women from being terribly underexposed. The young ladies in the picture are from the University of Wisconsin.
