Awesome work a beautifull scene and dedication and I'm sure it's old news to you but just in case over at DAZ in the freepository there's a Nastius morph for Apollo 2007 that has both a creature texture and a stone texture as well if you use that along with maybe some wings and stuff it might be what you're looking for ^^
