Description

Practicing again with the macro and the roses in the yard and some mist drops! I'm having the toughest time with shooting the red roses in the garden! What's up with that??? Maybe one in twenty shots even seems worth keeping on the hard drive! Whereas the other colors of roses seem easy to capture and keep. hmmmmm :-) Thank you for your time in viewing my uploads today. I'm hoping to have more time next week to make my rounds through the galleries - the kids are home this week and keeping me oh so busy :-D Hope you are having a lovely week so far, Lisa 4/10/2007 Title changed from A Red Bud to A Strawberry Rose since Fred255's comment inspired me to rethink the title - I love the idea and it does have the appearance of a strawberry!

Hi Lisa, a beautiful capture. Looks good enough to eat!!!! I am no expert at all, I am told that red or white flowers are the most difficult to capture. I honestly do not know why.. You did a fine job here, enjoy the rest of the holiday with your children. Happy day.Diane. PS. Onslow/Richard is a fine photographer of flowers, perhaps if you IM to Richard he could esplain why the red is so difficult to capture. He is a kind artist, I am sure he would not mind you asking him.

Great macro shot! Perfect! (As a guess on the difficulty in shooting reds... that color is very easily oversaturated and harder to get correct without overdoing it.)

Fantastic capture, and I love the vibrant colors. I'm getting a fruity acidic taste in my mouth from looking at the droplets. Cool shot for sure!!

Nice! I'm having a heck of a time with some red rhododendrons. If I ever get a good picture of one, it'll be up so fast your head will spin! I'm very impressed with the color in this shot. Perfect!

Red yellow & white are very hard to photograph for clarity on flowers... I know exactly what you mean, it seems to take 20-30 photos to get one good one!! This one looks luscious with all those droplets!!! well done!!!!!
