Description
This is the night view of Gatlinburg, Tennessee as seen from the "Gatlinburg Bypass Highway". It's a nice view, and possibly the only redeeming value left of Gatlinburg, which has turned one of the most beautiful spots in the country into one massive tourist trap.
But fortunately, its damage is contained. And perhaps one of the better things about Gatlinburg is the Gatlinburg Bypass Highway itself, which allowed me to take this picture and also allows you to not have to drive through Gatlinburg on the way to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. Although to visit the Smoky Mountains I suppose I'd even drive through hell itself.
Speaking of the Smoky Mountains, this is the 5th post from my trip there last week. The 4th post, "Old Wagon Wheel" can be viewed by clicking here.
Thanks for stopping by!
