Very nice composition with good use of diagonals, reflections and the demon shadow. I like the use of the red colour and a innocent looking school girl. Did you try it with a wide angle lens and closer to the girl to see if impact was greater?

Very good. Her seamingly innocent smile in contrast with the shadows of her dark wings is really great. The greatest about this image is that, in the 1st glance, one thinks it's just an innocent picture of a young girl. And then... the shadow comes. Her pose is great, the feel very slightly pointing inwards, the head slightly bent, wide open eyes, just perfect, everything pointing in the direction you wanted.

Well done!

Cool concept!!! Amazing work on the shadows and face expressions!!!!

hey I like the spot light. It really highlights the central feature of the image. The papers (if thats what they are) around the room dont add to the central features. and some of the shadows seem a bit strange - especially at the back of the image

Very well executed image. I love the contrast between her sunny goodness expression and the truth in her shadows. The taloned feet shadows are just priceless. Lighting is not my forte, but I'd like to see a light on her face that doesn't wash out her features quite so much. There's a lot of dark elements in the image from the red and black to the excellent shadow work, you don't want to lose anything of her "just an average cheerful, slightly rueful average high school student" persona.

I like the camera pose much it makes the scene unique. It was also a very good idea to put the papers on the top of the locker as it gives the scene more of real life. Very good work here!!

The shadow from the invisible wings really adds alot to the image :)
Bea

No crits here. Great idea and execution.

Yup, everything they said and putting the figure in the centre of the picture works here. I have to admit, though, that i didn't even see the wings in the shadow until i read about them. This might be because i've just woken up, but also i think because the right-hand wing's first vertical is lost against the black tile seperator and the left hand wing is starting to loose itself into the darkness. Also, would it be possible to suggest a hint of membrane between the... um fingers? ... bones? ... whatever they are. But visual impact wise this is great.

it took me a few minutes of truly pondering the image in view before i got the connection between the title, and the image itself. Once i finally found/saw the bone wings in shadow, the lightbulb went on.

I think I would've added some more sustainance to the bone wings. But then that's just me.

That's pretty cool, I actually caught the wings in the shadow and the reflection on the floor very smoothly - it took a couple of looks, but that's very good. Her left calf looks pretty heavily postworked, you may want to take a look at what went on there. I think you might want to adjust camera position a little, to a) get her a little out of centre, and b) get the figure, the shadow and the reflection to form more of a 3-point trisected triangle shape (that's just stylistic, my opinion only).

Fantastic POV. Great idea and work.

Perhaps confine the red light to the area behind her, as if it is cast with her shadow. There is something on the floor directly above her right shoulder I find distracting. Just a thought, maybe give her full blown demon wings in shadow.

Her expression is priceless. It only took me a second to notice the wings. I wonder how they would look if they were longer, if that's possible. Cool concept.
