Description
The job of a surveyor is not always an easy or a safe one, as the crew of the SV Ahriman learned when they stumbled over Ice Station Zebra.

I had this tg render ready yesterday, but I wanted to test using the mask render function in bryce. Well I still hadn't gotten bryce in order when I had to go to work. I decided to just put up the tg render and bag the rest after I got off work. Unfortunately, folks took forever to clear out so by the time I got home I had missed the deadline for a monday upload.
Figured at that point I would try using bryce to render the ship and masking it in. I didn't match the light as well as I'd hoped, but I'm out of time again. I hope you find this satisfactory.
p.s. I got my first bryce 6.0 render that didn't look terrible. I got the rocks looking like rocks instead of cheap plastic. I'll try to put that up tonight...

The Grand Survey, or its contract teams, is not generally the service one most associates with risk, yet they do exist, as you point out. This world reminds me of the polar region of Frontier World 22, but of course that is hundred of parsecs away. Looking forward to more data relating to Ice Station Zebra. Terrific snapshot!
