Description


Render Time: 156 hours! (that was the mistake) Equipment used: Quad core processor, 4 megs Corsair Dominator ram, (4) Raptor hard drives in striped array, (2) 768mb GTX 8800 video cards in SLI config. Models: Assembled by me using Borg greeble pack, Death Star greeble pack, and General Hull greeble pack. NEVER use HDRI on complex objects! (unless you want to wait 100 + hours). I didn

You need a better computer...;-) LOL That's quite a rig you have - and even that is struggling! Though its not hard to see why - there is a tremendous amount of reflective detail in this. Still, its well worth the effort - an outstanding render - I love detailed objects like this, especially with HDRI. well worth full size view. Could you perhaps do a HDRI render of just one of the 'blocks'? It would be cool to see the detail in it!
