The first slab of stone been put down iaround 237 BC and still standing. Not in full but this fact makes it more fascinating this temple. Amazing colors on a stone walls and a single statue of Horus there is just so sacretive! Well done JOE!!

Now this is a place I want to visit one day ...... Egypt! I love all the mystery surrounding the pyramids and temples (reminds me of Stargate SGI LOL!) Superb colours and textures to the walls and the contrast between shadow and light is excellent. I think the grey sky adds even more mystery to the atmosphere of this shot. Another photo well worth it's weight in Egyptian treasure!! xx

Perfect light in this image. Wonderfully composed, I feel like I am there! 2 thoughts for you. The colors are good, but perhaps could be a little more intense, esp. the sky. Also, I would use those postwork talents of yours to remove the door sign. I find it detracts from the image for me.

The light in this shot is fantastic - well I hoped you thanked the sun! It's a pity to see they've had to gate up the entrance to the temple... Did you know that when it rains and the sun is out at the same time it's called a monkey's wedding? I actually think the grey helps to show the warmth of the sun and enriches the whole image. To be honest I was so taken in by the warmth of the stone and the quality of such a simple image, that I only noticed the grey sky when you mentioned it... SmileyCentral.comimage.gif

That is such a great shot! Wonderful coloring with the added mystique of a thin layer of haze. I love the shadows that stretch out across the ground giving the picture a sense of almost motion!
