Description
Hi, another sci-fi fix for you all.
Dont know if this should really be in the Mixed-Medium galery.
Modelling was primarily Bryce, the basic building shape was done in Wings3d and then added to in Bryce. The tailpiece of the mech is a Doga preset object, the rest of the mech done in Bryce. The foreground structure was modelled also in Bryce, i added a couple of photographic elements in Photoshop. All lights and engine flair/exhaust added using Photoshop, although the building lights were rendered initially Bryce.
If any purists object to this in the Bryce Gallery i will move it, no worries.
Im only "dabbling" with heresy!!:-)
Thanks for comments past and future,
Leon

Can't enough of your cityscapes! the yellow lighting works really well here - quite unusual. Nice sense of dynamic power in the mech as its just lifting off - another classic!

I never cease to be amazed at the level of detail some modelers achieve in their work. This piece is so rich in such detail. It greatly adds to a truly wonderful scene. The POV and depth are also impressive. WOW!

Its a great image-top work man. To work purley in Bryce is a great discipline and I have nothing but respect for those who work this way but at the end of the day, its the end product that counts. 3DWorld Magazine recently did a tutorial by Rochr to show what could be done with Bryce, the final image was a compoite of 2 renders with photographic overlays. Also there are no clear boundries as to what is pure Bryce and what is not for example the use of 2d picture objects or creating depth of field in Photoshop using a Bryce rendered distance mask. Don't worry about it buddy.

Fantastic! (You heretic, you.)

Brilliant! The pose is stellar and the whole scene is well made. Good lighting. Just enough activity. The faded background works perfectly with your clear foreground. Nice!!!

A very Foss-esque image, very effective post work.

That's my kind of heresy.

Post work is fine to do. Totally acceptable. Now, this is an excellent image. Beautifully put together

Heretic like me:) Well this is excellent and I really love the way you used the yellow color in this!

Please, don't get me started on "purists" and please don't mention them. They don't like to be mentioned, at least by that derogatory term. I think the term they prefer is devoted true-believer and defender of the software. But you'd have to ask them personally but I wouldn't recommend it. I just wanted to stop by and say, awesome picture. Balance of composition, color, camera angle, I love it. I especially like the other creature vehicle perched in the distance.

Unbelievable. I really enjoy seeing what skilled hands can do with Bryce (I'm still learning, myself) so I find it very inspiring. Great work.
