The odds are very long , so do not get scared. Fear is the tool of the terror brokers, keep your life going as normal dont give in too paranoid thoughts.

Just a reminder that the next time I go flying will be on a private jet from a private airport. Excellent shot of the aircraft vis-a-vis the skyline.

It is something what the world will never forget and better to wait a bit on the airport with all this checks, than having something like this happen again!! Hugs Ute

Very meaningful shot! In Sydney hardly any security check. Shocking and scary to see same system used as in 12 years ago! We just empty our pocket in a small basket, send it through the scanner machine with your traveling bag...You walk trough a scanner frame. That is all. Here and there they pick some traveller after past a frame scaner and make a personal check. Check what? Everithing all ready checked!! I never saw a sniffer dog yet!

Yes, it could. Not the same way or in the same place. It will be different and just as devastating. Excellent work. Bunny

Dear God, Richard. You are right. I hope never again to see this. When it happened. I did not know. David was working in Dublin, Ireland. He telephoned me to tell me. I put the news on the TV in my lounge, wrapped my arms tightly around my knees, I rocked and WEPT... Please, let there be peace between all nations. Hugs. Diane.

Timely reminder, sadly there are a lot of people at the moment with extremely short memories who are only too willing to take it out on the staff whose job it is to protect them. Thankyou for your understanding.

Touchy subject for me, and I wasn't going to respond until I saw the comment by nattarious. "H" (I won't post his real name here) was a businessman as well. He was also a beautiful person. He was my friend. He was traveling on business from Boston to California, leaving his new bride behind at home to wait for him to get back from his trip. His plane was hijacked and crashed into the second tower. My life was forever changed that day as were the lives of everyone who knew and loved him and so many other passengers on those planes. I, for one, wish that "people" (and I use that term loosely because I'm a lady and won't say what I really think of those monsters!) on his plane had been delayed by a security airport check. Maybe my friend who I love would still be here today if there had been. Maybe he would've gotten the chance to be a father some day, something he wanted more than anything in the world. And maybe I wouldn't be sitting here with tears in my eyes... remembering that day like it were just yesterday ... and wishing he was here.

very scary but a great reminder of what can happen to us to all the lifes lost and lifes that have had to be rebulided this brings to all us in our mind that our safe keeping really is in our own hands i think with this image you have gave us a time to think about life once again and thank god that we all can sit here and do what we do our day by day work and pray for ourselfs as well as the lifes that have been change by the twin towers that we all should live every day with love and peace in our hearts and not to be afraid to do the things we want to our go the places we want. for if we do one day we might not be able too. for this image i have got to give it 5+ as it is a reminded of how lucky we all are here and many around thank you richard and god bless

It worries me that so much of the world still feels terrorism is the way to achieve things. This is an awesome capture of a beautiful skyline. Strange how just a few years ago we thought nothing of seeing airplanes flying so close to the heart of a city.

Very effective capture. certainly makes one think. In my opinion, I don't think we are that much more safe than before...hope I'm wrong, though.

Yes, quite scary. My hope is that the passengers and crew would follow the example of United 83 and not let it happen. I am also willing to put up with a little delay to prevent bombs and terrorists from getting aboard with me. Anyway, another great view of Dallas, Richard.
