Description

Captured 4/10/07, not at the Descanso Gardens, but in my city, about 1.5 miles from my abode. The Iris looks large in this photo, but is actually quite small, and is no where as large as the one I posted a few days ago under the title of My Iris for today #1. Thanks for the look-see!

I have seen this called the Peacock Orchid before. And a marvelous shot of it. I have them by my pond in the back yard and they are difficult to get a good shot of because they wave in the slightest breeze. BTW, perhaps my Tender as a Lover's Kiss post today is a bit sappy but, come on! I'm a female and I think that is part of the DNA... :-)
