Twi'leks, for those who don't know, are a species in the fictional Star Wars universe, known for their twin 'lekku' (head tail thingies) and skin shades that span the rainbow. The females of the species are known for their beauty and grace, and where they appear in the movies, are often used as the Star Wars equivalent of pin up models/exotic-dancers/eye-candy. Even the ones that fight with lightsabers sport cleavage. ***** Notes and credits There's no tales here, I just needed a snappy title. On a technical note, the poser brand atmosphere didn't come out exactly as I wanted and the floor grate kept rendering with artifacts. I wanted the foggy stuff to come up in cylinder-like streams through the floor grate, didn't turn out so well. That said, the image cleaned up nicely with post-work and I'm quite pleased with the result. The room she's in started as 3 free props; the walls are made from a babylon5 cargo ship, the seat is pulled off a DM round seat thingy set, and the floor grate prop with round holes is from renderotica. It goes without saying that I needed to do a little work with the grouping tool... Room for two or is it "A" room for two? Where's the second? She's too beautiful to be all alone. To get fog streaming with shadowed lights, try using a light gel instead of the mesh to create the shadows, and don't forget to remove the flooring from that light's influence.

I think the floor effect came out very well, realistically a mist or fog might not have too much sharpness--depending on the distance from the light and object its projecting through. Also a nice combination of elements to create the set. The character is posed with precision, as she grips the cable and sits perfectly on the suspended platform. The lighting is about as perfect as one could get- top notch work; the softness and focus on her face and upper torso, fading out then again on her legs- very natural and very realistic! RBlue's suggestion above is great- I haven't messed about too much with Poser's volumetric lighting effects- but Ill have to give that suggestion a try.
