Hi all,
Captured this post a few weeks ago when the redbuds first started blooming.
Both the redbuds and the dogwoods have been beautiful here in Ky this year, but sadly this cold spell freeze has got a lot of the spring blooming trees and plants and we have a chance of snow for Sunday.
I am so ready for the 70 degree weather.
I saw my Oncologist on Tuesday and he told me that all was looking good, my blood work, etcetera.
The only new thing is the ducts in my liver are just a little bit enlarged and they are going to keep an eye on that, but overall no change and they said I had proved that ER who said I only had 3-4 months to live, wrong.
Yeah! I walked out of his office smiling.
I'm going to continue the chemotherapy and keep doing what I am scheduled to do.
I was up to a 109 lbs. A far cry from the 102 in the past.
He told me to enjoy spring and enjoy life and that is what I am trying to do.
They are keeping me on my Morphine and I am having to take 2 every 2 hrs for the pain and if needed they will increase the dosage.
No more hydrocodone as this effects the liver and that is what I was on and I am also on the Fentanyl Pain Patches.
For the past few days I have just felt so good and you all that is a lot to say for me.
To get up smile, sing, laugh and want to eat until I drop, whereas a few months ago I was barely getting out of bed.
I told you all I was going to fight this and I am!
John Edwards wife has the same thing I have so following her news a lot.
Thank you all for all your love, encouragement, support and prayers.
It means a lot to me.

I'm glad that everything stabilised and that you enjoy the spring and the warmth!! Shame you gained "only" 7lbs, because with 15 you would need new clothes and that would be fun, wouldn't it???:o)) It makes me happy to know you feel better!! You are always in my thoughts, my sister in law is the same fighter than you she goes just the second time through chemo and lost all her nails through the it, she goes through a lot of pain, but in 2 weeks she is finish with it and she makes a lot of planes for the future, just like you!!! Beautiful picture. I love redbuds and it is too bad the cold snap cut them short this year. Glad to hear you are feeling better. Keep the positive attitude going, I know from experience that it can really help fight this thing.

Susan, Firstly thank you for your comments on my upload last night and thank you for sharing your beautiful photos with us - this really reflects a sunny outlook. Secondly, I've only just read your bio and now reading your comments here, I am saddened to think that you have been so unwell but glad to here that you are doing and feeling much better at the moment - keep smiling and laughing and singing and keep these beautiful captures of life growing coming for us all to share. As a side note - I am entering into the Race For Life this year again, it's the Cancer Research annual 5km run/walk that is held at many venues across the UK to help raise funds/awareness for breast cancer. I have got a team of 8 girls from work to do it and we are aiming to raise copious amounts of money - I shall enter this race with you in my heart hun - I'll let you know how I get on, but it's not until 3rd June!! Susan you are a inspiration!!! Not only for cancer patients but for people in general. Your wonderful outlook on life and your positive attitude.
