Description

I believe these flowers are called Bogenvilla flowers. I really need to get myself a good book on floral identification

very lovely capture of a Bougainvillea. They are a favorite of mine and I have one at my front door. They are somewhat unfriendly, though. They have horrid, long thorns on them. I snag an average of 3 visitors per month on the one I have. :-)

Beautiful shot! If I think I know what a flower is, I just browse on the name and add "photo." So to check this flower, I would type in: bougainvillea photo (Don't worry if you spell it wrong. Google will know how it's spelled, and direct you appropriately.) If what I find matches the flower I'm looking at, I've successfully identified the plant.
