This does look like the wings you see being worn on the uniforms but yours has more detail and depth. Very intricate.

Wow Bob, my dad was a pilot of a B-17 during WWII. He was flying out of Ridgwell Field, England. I have framed pictures of B-17's in my house! Fine dedication! Beautiful work! (:
