Description

This is my first Australia-themed image since acquiring my dual US/Australian citizenship 3 months ago. A pair of American tourists riding on the Indian Pacific, a passenger train that runs from Perth to Sydney and back (the longest passenger train route in the world). In this scene, the train is racing across the Nullarbor Plain in the middle of the night on the westward part of the run. (the title of the picture is from a line from the song 'Indian Pacific' by Slim Dusty. The train compartment was made by me in Lightwave, based on photographs of the Gold kangaroo compartments on the Indian Pacific
