Born at the tail of the baby boom, James was introduced to drawing and painting at an early age by his parents. Now, nearly 65 years later, he still occasionally sketches and paints but for the most part uses computer graphics programs for image creation. His favorite programs are Blender, GIMP, Poser, and Vue. He currently lives in a small town in New Jersey, sharing his space with two cats and a human female.

Very Nice work and realism and an Special thanks for it being a big render, to many Vue users are rendering tiny images, but this one is Great!!!!!!!!!!

That's interesting; I've been doing large renders almost since I started. Even today, Vue will crash due to scene complexity, but all large renders require is patience and memory.

I think this is an early attempt at using Vue "ecosystem" textures.

I like it - nice, simple, wide open. I'm ready to go there.

The actual site that the Maiden sit in which inspired this is sliced up by hedge rows; the nearby Dartmoor however is not.

The Merry Maidens of Cornwall. I know them well.(and most of the other stone circles and dolmens of Devon and Cornwall too!)Well I do live in Devon!! :) Superb render Jim. You've captured the mystery and remoteness very well!

In Devon, huh? My UK geography is none so good, I had to go to google; but the southwest is the main area of the UK that I've visited; the furthest east I've been is Oxford. The two times I've holidayed there, I flew into Bristol
