Description

Well, after taking into consideration all of the comments posted on the preliminary of this image, I did a lot of work with the atmosphere and waves. I also fine tuned the eco-system so that things were buried a bit and I got a bit more variations in the rocks and plants. Now that this is, probably, the final version, I'm definitely interested in comments and critiques. Thanks for looking.

Well done - the waves are big rollers - looks like a storm is coming - at night the sea is vert reflective - looks a little rough for the scene - but nicely done never the less

No crits that I can see. A nice scene, though from the look of the approaching weather, you may want to move your camera back. You know, so the rising waves don't get it wet. :)

I like this a lot. I have only one minor critique, and that is based around what time of day it is. If the scene is really being lit by moonlight, then there would be a lot more contrast to the light - I'd cut down the ambient to almost 0. If it's not being lit by the moon, then the shadows of the grass are out of place.

This is a fine example of applying critique into a finished image. It is supurb! The plant shadows, splaying some dark shadows, but then lighter ambiant ones in different directions really give the depth of affect of ambiant light during a cloudy (or windswept storm) day. The water absolutely rolls. Magnificent work my friend.

Definite improvment over the previous version over the first. Better variation in the foreground. Well done!

Much much better than the 1st version. Vue rocks! :-) Indeed, like said above, the lighting doesn't seem coherent. But, what's more interesting, I like it as it is! I mean, I see that the light seems not 100% natural but I like it a lot, it's very good, it brings a good mood. The added variation in rocks and plants helped a lot to bring more realism. The waves are great. What kind of terrain did you use for this? The only thing that seems wrong in the waves it's those 2 or 3 waves in the background, mid-left, they seem smoother, less bumpy, than the rest. Sky looks great. The mixture of spectral and standard clouds look good in this case (normally I dont like to use it but you did it well). I would increase the highlights in the water to see the reflection of the moon light more strongly, I think it would enhance the drama. Very good image!
