Description

Time for another B&W! Actually this was done with a filter called B&W Limiter Pro. Yesterday I was taking a little hike in my "backyard" (about 10 miles NW)and I saw this view and thought "Wow..... how many people live in big cities and never get to experience this kind of solitude?". This little valley has no year round residents (at least that I know of)! The highway through here is closed in winter (it's the same highway that goes to Yosemite NP). I just wanted to share a little serenity with everyone who needs it more then I do! Have a great rest of the week! And thanks to everyone who commented on my last post! That was a wonderful surprise!

The filter, of which I know nothing about, seems to make the foreground look as if it were lite by moonlight while it is obvious this is not the case. Apart from that I find this photograph another draw for me to head into the hills like a desperado only to find my sanity. Thank you for sharing. egmont

Even though I live in western Oregon with 42 inches of rain a year, I love the stark beauty of the desert. Well done.
