Description

Shangri-la; an imaginary and remote paradise on Earth (From the name given to an imaginary land in the novel 'Lost Horizon', by James Hilton, 1933)(Quote from Encarta World English Dictionary, 1999 edition). This is my Re-Imagining of the Shangri-la idea, The last outpost of an advanced, Ancient Civilization, Possibly Rama or Atlantis. Built Somewhere in the Himalayas, within either an Old Volcanic Caldera, or an even Older Meteor Impact (I haven't yet decided!). Hidden from the outside world for countless millenia, the Arcane Technologies (or Magiks) housed in the central spire eventually fail and the Mystical Cloak drops, allowing a passing aircraft to discover this Fabled Land..... What will happen now? This image is dedicated to the most Patient of People, a Woman who puts up with my Foibles, and supports me when I Need it. A Gorgeous Woman who has given me Two Beautiful Children, and Many Years of Happiness, My Wife.
