Captured, like so many of my current photos, at the beautiful Descanso Gardens at the foot of the beautiful San Gabriel Mountains in beautiful LaCa

Its a tulip - wide open and gorgeous. Also it has the lily-type leaves. Great capture!

Looks like to me a kind of tulip....but I just call it "nice and gorgeous in yellow". I love the shadows on a petals created by another petals.

Oh good grief, I can't believe that you didn't know what this was ...... it's a beautiful flower with glorious golden colours captured under stunning lighting conditions!! (BTW - I had no idea what it was until I read the other posts either LOL!!) Excellent shot with superb details. xx

tulip also. it is a stunning vibrant color and capture. I took many fotos of flowers the last few days. enough to last all year, but am I going to stop?no way!!

I with you goodoldboy; A flower is a flower is just diff with texture and color. lol I wish I know more. I most likely enjoy them more. It like when i see a tree and i kow what type it is. I more happy then I know what man calls them trees. Guess it be the same with flowers

I think MrsL is getting some serious competition catching up to her. I can see the improvements in your flower shots for sure. This one has it all, the translucient petals, wonderful textures, fabulous contrasting colors. Way to go ol boy!!!
