Upleatham Church - Built in 1684, it measures 18 feet long by 15 feet wide and is what remains of a once larger church. Great shot and a must visit place the next time I'm up that neck of the woods. Lovely colours and textures to the stonework. Great shot. xx

I'm reliably informed that it is the smallest church in Yorkshire. It may not be the smallest church in England !

Many years ago, and i mean many years ago in Ireland, I almost purchased an abandond church to turn it into an artist studio and art school. But alas, it was not meant to be. However this photograph brough back these memories. Thank you for sharing. egmont

hehe, i know this church. I walked from Guisborough to it with my boyfriend once, so I could show him it and the architecture of the faces engraved into it. Funny story really, we got to walking back to Guisborough and really couldn't be bothered walking lol. I called my sister's boyfriend and he picked us up lol..Lazy eh? This church is absoutely beautiful in the snow.... lovely if you get to see it, assuming the road is passsable.

I love your capture of this unique church. I have seen other captures of the same but you did justice to it
