Description

G'day all! Hope your week has been going well for you all :) I wasn't sure what I should call this upload so seeing it looks like he's dropping his bottom lip & there are all these other animals getting their photos on here I came up with this title. :) A LITTLE PROFILE OF THE KODIAK BEAR: They live on Kodiak Island in Alaska, hence the name Kodiak Bear. lol It is the perfect habitat for the Kodiak brown bear to thrive. In fact, two-thirds of the island has been set aside to form the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge. Each bear needs miles of land to travel without human populations and dwellings. The refuge offers just that. On Kodiak you will only find Kodiak bears. Estimates of the bear population on Kodiak and the surrounding archipelago is currently around 3000. Well thank you for viewing this wonderful creature. As always thank you for your comments as well... Take care! Shane

What an expressive face. He'd probably feel better if you scratched his head, especially after he ate you for lunch. :-)
