Description
The original version, played by John Colicos, who reprised his role for Richard Hatch's trailer. And that's me in the background, LOL! This isn't the version that appeared in the trailer, it's the version I did after I made my virtual bridge set and recomposited the scene a couple of years later.

does bear a certain resemblance to a Klingon I saw on Star Trek (both TOS and DS9..;)

Commander Kor... :) As a matter of fact, he filmed Battlestar with Richard, during his time in LA during the filming of that episode of DS9 that was Kor's final story. I believe it was shot during a convention appearance in the area. I was not fortunate enough to meet Mr. Colicos, though, as I had not yet become involved in the project, and didn't meet Richard until April of 1999. Mr. Colicos passed away a few months after we finished the trailer, which to our knowledge, is the last time he performed in front of a camera. It was a moving performance, and it was very sad to see him go. Ken

GarnetRose, I grew up on the original, and love it. I was so lucky to get the opportunity to work with Richard Hatch, who played Apollo, and currently plays Tom Zarek. Both shows are very different, and for fans of the original, the new show was tough to swallow, at least at first. I prefer to think of them as both being part of the 'cycles of history' that Six refers to, which incidentally was an idea I gave to Ron Moore. Both series are valid, and happened that way. :) I like both, but the new one is a love/hate relationship for me. I want to like it, but sometimes the character's flaws and the choices they make, make me really miss the old days when it was more like Star Wars than modern politics.
