I really tried to put some shading into this one. I feel like it ended up looking scary for it lol. Any suggestions or tips on what might make it more real?

I love this character. The little Mermaid is one of my fav movies. I love the music in it. :D As for shading, I've tried to shade people and have had no luck with the outcomes. What program do you use? There are tutorials here on coloring: http://www.mangarevolution.com/tutorials.php I also found some at DA (Deviant art) on realism. They do a lot of Manga at DA. Your work deserves so much more attention then it is getting here so far. anyway, I hope that the tutorials will be helpful. Hugs Maria
