Description
I know the ol' water drop is somewhat cliche. But it's bothered me that I could never seem to capture one that looked even semi-decent. So this is one, finally, that I was able to get.
The setup was primitive (upside down blue wine glass, a dropper for the drops, red construction paper in the background for the flash to bounce off of for more color), but it seemed to work. I did use the on-cam flash for this.
I had taken this shot, cropped it and converted it to black and white, and it looked pretty good. But then I wanted to get a little of the color version in there too, and this is where I ended up.
Edit: Just for clarity, the color is the actual color of the shot, not painted in. The glass was blue, and the flash bouncing off the red construction paper gave a real nice purple, blue and red shot.
