Description

'Making a Monster' I was just playing around with some creature creation and ended up with this little beastie :) I thought you might like to see the various stages of development although it's pretty basic stuff. Thanks for looking. Tony

Great workflow display of a cool model! I use 3ds Max, too. As well as Mudbox. Never warmed up to C4d Painter. I UV map the old fashioned way. Painting a template. Great render in Vue 6I! Another excellent app!

Doesn't look basic to me. This is an awesome creature. Does he bend or move at all? People would pay big bucks for this guy.

Nice work. I see you're picking up Mudbox quickly. A couple questions... Whats the polycount of your model in Mudbox? I take it you used a displacement map for your Vue render... How well does the new version of Vue handle displacement maps compared to a program like 3DS Max or C4D?

I think basic is understating the time it takes to understand these programes, I don't mean knowing all the buttons in mudbox within weeks I mean the years of gradually assimulating 3D technology and concepts. The Vue6i render is excellent and although I could have guessed the route you have taken it's still wonderful to see you demonstrate the process, a picture paints a thousand words. Top work Tony.

this is a trip. ive never created a 3d image before, although i love renderosity. i knew there was special software you had to have to make these cool images, and now i get a look at the programs you use to make your stuff. this is 3d studio max? does this program allow you to create a completely new idea or are their like, stencils or pre-programmed images you work with? is it an expensive program? can you buy it on renderosity?
