"An eggstremely tiny butterfly egg located on an eggstremely precarious tip of a vine tendril in an eggstremely dangerous situation with a spider lurking nearby."

Yes well done everyone and congratulations Kort - I will have to practice more for the next comp!! This was a fantastic shot though and when reviewing the entries myself, I must admit to putting this in the "winner of a prize" bracket - great macros shot with superb lighting and a wonderful POV. Neat POV in this macro of the lonesome tendril contrasted against the black background. Kind of reminds me of a green telephone cord seeking a port to be plugged in.

Congrats, i was wondering (since i first saw it) how you managed to be at the right place at the right time to see that and have the spider there? As for the shot - i knew it would place highly - its just simple and effective (not to mention fits very well with the contest theme), although i think top spot might have been yours had the shot been a little less soft on the focus/dof :)
