Powerful yet understated image Egmont. Pretty heavy stuff for a series entitled Children's hands at play. This is in a military bunker, eh? I like the symmetry and the the subdued color, and of course your trademark textures. The hand is what really grabs the eye. Every time I try and read what is written on the wall, my eyes wander back up to the hand.

Thank you Kort. It seems we are experiencing just about the same, for when I entered this small bunker and saw the pastel coloured walls with all the graffiti, it was the many hand prints that held me. -e

Could be re-transposed as a stained glass : wonderful colors and architecture. I am not sure hope should be abandonned when seing your shot :))

Powerful image and like TwoPynts, my eyes are always drawn back to that hand near the top. Very interesting! :)

Incredibly powerful work, Egmont. The hand print of person who has suffered. Powerful indeed. To make a mark, to say "I am". I hope... I shall always have hope, for without hope life is grim. Thank you for this work. It has made me stop and think. Diane.

Extremely powerful and yes, Kort is right (of course!) the eye leads to the hand. Very emotive series Egmont and an interesting read on your homepage too. Looking forward to the first in the series now! xx
