Description
I thought that I would try to balance my frightfully dark entry yesterday with something contrastingly bright and beautiful - if for no other reason than to serve as a gentle reminder that the world is (and always has been) a beautiful place when one knows where (or how) to look.
So, without further ado, please join me in exploring the Undersea World of ToAPP. Tonight we're stopping off at the aquarium to visit one of it's more colorful inhabitants - the Whirlpool Anemone. Native to the shallow tidal pools of the Tikihatma Islands in the South Pacific, this attractive invertebrate uses it's bright colors, the swirling motion of it's tentacles, and gives off a rapturously sweet scent all in the aim of luring in it's principle prey, the Kalto Mountain Hummingbird. As with many of it's jellyfish relatives, it's better just to look but not touch this little underwater flower. Those tentacles have a nasty little sting!
Created in Apophysis 2.05C++Z++r5 using Liz Tomchek's Pinwheel Disc3 script followed by SymmTubes and some creative post-work in Corel PhotoPaint 12.
