Perhaps I am too addle-brained and a unable to perceive past my nose; or maybe I'm about as swift in the brain as an empty riverbed, because although I see before me an exquisitely rendered portraiture with every bit as much realism as that captured by the lens of a skilled photographer - and even more - I cannot help but notice the obvious smear of red running down her right/left cheek. Then I am left somewhat perplexed, not knowing if this blemish represents make-up, a birthmark, or (forgive me), tears of blood! I'm more inclined to believe it to be the latter because of the redness around her eye, and in the corner at her tear duct. Your work as always is outstandingly beautiful, highly polished in both skill and expertise - and now with this render, you have added an air of unsolved mystery - mystery which leaves me saddened for what may have befallen this sweet lady before she had the courage to smile. Forgive me 'lazy', I so adore your imagery, so I apologize for my lack of understanding on this thought-provoking image. It is - nonetheless - spectacularly rendered.

Simply wonderful! Is the hair and texture your own?
