This was a lighting exerecise in photoshop. All the lighting is painted in photoshop.

wow, that's beautiful light and smoke. now i want to try something like that! the only thing that i can't make out is what's happening to the smoke on the lower left. it seems to be cut off by something, but i can't tell what it's going behind. oh, and that pattern the light illuminates is just gorgeous.
