Description

Happy weekend to all! I love the way images or paintings, especially abstracts, take on additional images and thoughts as they progress. A journey begins with each one. Someone said that the art at RnR can be taken in, and inspire one to create if you take the time. I agree with that sentiment, and thank each of you who has inspired me with your art. I enjoy and appreciate the ideas and thoughts in each of your comments! A wonderful Sunday to each of you. Hugs :) special thanks to Eddie for all the creativity and imagination! Artrage, PS postwork.

I love the richness of your colors, from deep brown to vivid gold. Seeing one face makes me look for more, and I found a town in dappled sunlight in the background. I would ask you if you put it there on purpose, my dear, but I already know the answer! :)

This could easily be called "The Great and Secret Show" titled after a novel by Clive Barker.I love the person hding in the bottom left saying "I have a secret" The one in the top right saying,"I have a gift for you" It is all wonderful(;

Swimming amidst the ruins - in color... Like the flow of this, and the hint of shapes - of humans, of buildings, of more... And the balance of the darkness of the lower left - to the golden light upper right... signifies hope - and a finding of the way - to me... Sense there is complexities also being expressed by the circular center, that is organic and with movement - and coming and going apart... against the squared format of the overall composition... round pegs in square holes perhaps. Feel and see more, but these are the major thoughts that this brings. An enjoyable abstract - both on a "superficial" eye candy type of way... where it is pleasing to the eye...... but also - becomes a deeper work, when actually "looked" into....

A wonderful abstract painting, Jill. I think you chose the perfect title for this one. As I view it, I am struck by the experience of stepping into the unknown. It is so like the haze that covers our eyes when we try to find our way around, over or threw obstacles. Sometimes our vision is obscured by pain and we must make our way through darkness or a smoke covered view. Your painting moves me so at this moment. Hugs, Suzanne

Hello Jill :) Thanks for the fav of my little sketch & thanks for your feedback, always much appreciated, thanks! Now I have to agree with all the others here about the details of your image, the longer you look the more you can see. Just amazing how a couple of colours and textures and often enough by chances an image can tell so much about life and its surprises. Cheers & hugs always :)

One of the first things I noticed is the left side of a man's face, wearing a cap in reverse while swiming in a sea of deep crimson red. Be it painted on purpose or not, it is a hidden element that discloses only the imagination of some and nothing more. The vague, yet soft brush work fading in and out of textures draw the viwer deeper into the painting. Thank you for sharing. egmont
