BIO
Married, 2 kids, mostly happily employed. Found Rendo in the fall of 2004, though at this point I don't remember just how I ended up here anymore. Probably linked off a fantasy art site somewhere perhaps. Lurked and checked out all the cool artwork for a few months before downloading DAZ|Studio and trying my hand at a few images. Had enough fun with that and the luck to have worked a significant amount of overtime at the time to purchase Poser 5 & PSP9 without busting the budget. Do well enough in Poser, though not nearly as well as I'd like. There's just not enough time in the day to do it all. When not working, doing things with family or Posering I love to read Sci-Fi and Fantasy (mostly), play computer games and chat with friends online. I've yet to chat with anybody here. And while I'm on MSN quite frequently it's almost always with the ID that I run in my Harry Potter game. So, that being said, should you wish to converse, I can be reached on MSN at janussparhawkAThotmail.com (replace AT with @) I'd love to get to know you all more. :)

Great depth and a nice opportune shot! If I may offer this bit of advice, knowing that these shots were just after you got the new camera; If you used the flash in this image, as it appears; try a few shots without- but slow down the shutter speed. From the specs on your camera, it has some pretty amazing image stabilization technology- it should be able to handle a moderately slow shutter while handheld minimizing blurriness. Not to mention, it also looks like it has full manual control and behaves much like a pro SLR, minus the ability to switch out lenses. If the lighting in this image is not from your flash, then you may want to speed up the shutter to allow less light exposure. It is a tad harsh using the auto settings, and a faster shutter would yield softer light, showing more detail rather than light levels peaking out at 100% specular white areas.

WOW For Me!!! John, you are the sweetest!! You know the idea just came off the top of my head. LOL To dazzle it up a bit. ;o) The picture quality is actually perfect. No lighting needs changed, shutter speed looks perfect as well, & the quality is TOPS. You have caught the actual realism in the plant & flower itself & added some DOF into it too. There is not much DOF but there is some & it looks fantastic. Many people do not realize taking photos in Hawaii is not that simple. The glare of the sun firstly can make it quite difficult. Most people do not have cams good enough to capture photos such as this!! IMHO, this is a perfect shot. I do pro photography too so I'm not a novice or newbie. Thank you so very much for this, John. You really made my day & picked up my spirits with the issues at hand!! You are a class number 1 friend!!! ;o) BIG HUGZ! Tamela
