Description

While doing an image I have a concept of how I focus my tiny reality to keep the confusion out. For this one I compassed all the white space first with stepped gestures. Then I slowly added dark, erasing as I had to to avoid compression and rarefaction as more steps counted off dimension. When I was done the odd "urban sprawl thoughts' came first then with time I thought of this as projected with an opaque projector on a glass-beaded screen next to a similar one projected from a transparency on a silver screen. Each was from a single 16mm frame cut in half like old 8mm movie film. One upside down but erected by thought and one as rendered. now side by side I can move to other seats and look at concepts I have learned in 3D of fresnel darkening of highlights with angle and sub-surfacescattering that flattens. I can lose the infinite depth of field of film for the digital depth of a fixed word length in numbers. This image does not go beyond the middle ground. So the Maxwellian theoretical machines of my mind create these uninvented ideas with explantions already to go. The gloss is silent. The literal expanse of the frame unilluminated. I read the WSJ but my pencil sharpener is not Ponzi. It is like "eatting mangoes in Budapest."

so you remember episodes in your old cars when you were a teenager.this brings back many happy times, except when I was in a drivein theater and accidentally released the emergency brake and the car started rolling back and ripped the speaker off. luckily I got it stopped before I hit a car behind me.I moved to another stall like nothing happened

Nice work! Love the style used here to express a somewhat discret male fantasy!

Great drawing; I love the subject as well as the little details like the stem of the turn signal as it sits in the neutral position. Hopefully the car is not moving, the steering wheel seems to be on its own.
