Description

Well it's been awhile, just haveing a hard time getting into art these days again. Damn I wish I would just get in the right frame of mind to paint and be done with it. Shilo is growing everyday, it seems she will be larger than we first thought..........much larger.....lol, she just might have some St. Bernard in her, just great....lol Two days after we got her we took her to our Vet, for her first shots, it was then that he discovered blood in her stool. He then did a test for Parvo, and it was positive....the choices were simple, put her in the Hospital, or put her down. The price for the Hospital was steep, put to put her down was not a option to us. three stress filled days later we got a call that she was responding very well and up and eating. The next day we were allowed to bring her home, a little slow at first, but the next day she hit the ground running, and hasn't stoped since, she is a survivor. I called the shelter where we rescued her from, and left a message to call me back, and that there was a good chance they had Parvo running through there Kennels, well they didn't even have the decency to return my call.........................but Shilo is now happy healthy, and ours.........

Shilo is a beauty and has much love in her life and a reason to be a fighter and a 'survivor'. It's a great picture of her, and fun to see how big she's grown ... and still growing. Regarding your art, sometimes life just gets in the way of our creativity ... it's still there and a part of you, and will emerge again when the time is right. Wonderful to hear from you :o) CC

Awh She is so beautiful and so sweet.... A guy on the swap shop was giving away Great Danes I woulda loved to have one but don't see keeping a dog chained up And would be too big in this small house with me and Winston.... I think Winston would be a tad jealous grin A beautiful friend you have here in Shilo:) Hugs Susan~

Glad to hear you got your pup back ok. We had one with the same thing. One thing to check and monitor is her heart. Parvo weakens the heart and ours made it for 5 years--but we did not know to look for anything there. Keep an eye on it and you should be able to catch anything that creeps up. Other than that, enjoy your pup and give her the best life you can--I did and have no regrets.
