Description

Sarban is one of our Kurdish Salukis. It is standard practice for the villagers to crop their ears while very young. While not a practice that I care for, it does make for a very distinctive look! For anyone not familiar with the breed, they are found throughout the Middle East and have been bred over the past few thousand years to excel in running down game. While typically not as fast as greyhounds, they tend to have greater endurance. It does really take your breath away to see one running flat out! Taken with a Nikon D70 that I'm starting to experiment with. Cheers, Parthius

Cool Memeber of the Family... THe Ear job definitly adds charactor, Yeah Not much into the ear cropping either, Seen to many beautiful dogs screwed up in the name of fashion..... Seen a couple lost cause of complications too... Beautiful dogs lost for no other reason than the Owners vanity.... Really Sharp looking Dog tho... Beautiful!

Great looking dog and he really makes a fine Avatar (about time...George!) I wonder, does he try to chase your new plane during take-off's and landing's or is he confined to the barracks ? ~Cheers~ :o)
