G'day. Just a black n whoite of a feather "macro" wioth a water drop for effect!! Im still practising and playing with black n white as a technique!! Enjoy Louise

black and white is amazing... i recommend using a gradient map to convert from colour use the sliders and you get a massive amount of tonal control. anyway - this shot is a classic (or at least here on rendo), nicely composed and the black and white does make it more "classy", although i might have gone for a bit more black within the feather to bring out some more contrast and detail. PS for my shot the simple answer is in the keywords... but i am going to explain it at the end of the series on friday.

Some people are just great at picking out something that is visually interesting and perks our creative ears. You've done it with this. Very cool. I love the monochrome and the simplicity of this. A real keeper.
