Description
Hello all. This shot was taken inside Vista House at the top of Crown Point Highway in the Columbia River Gorge. It was built in 1918, to serve, in the words of the highway's chief engineer Samuel Lancaster, as an "Isle of Safety to all the visitors who wish to look on the matchless scene." Edgar Lazarus designed Vista House as an example of modern German architecture, or the German equivalent of Art Nouveau. Hope you are enjoy the trip down the gorge. Thanks for stopping by.
