Description

After rooting around in Poser for a week or two last September, i pretty much set it aside. i decided last week to pick it back up again and this is my first render since doing that. This is my third Poser render ever(well, my fourth if you count the hand i did in "Whole World.."..smiles). Any and all helpful comments, tips, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Just please remember that i really am still quite the newbie when it comes to Poser. Credits: -Beautiful high-resolution "Eastern" skin texture from April's Vanity(with lips, nails, bump map, and transparency by me); -Outfit including the lovely hair/headpiece from Yamato(with colors, bump map, and reflection map by me); -Everything else -background, lighting, camera, pose, etc.- by me(though except for some smoothing along the brow the girl is straight from Poser) Poser/PSP Thank You and Namaste.

The perspective on this pic is awesome! You can almost envision her emerging from the water.

Nice work this is beautiful. The only suggestion I would have would be to just set a smudge or soften brush to low settings and go along the edge of the headpeice to get rid of some of the white jagged edges. But it looks terrific, nicely done.

That IS a great perspective. Very well executed! What face morphs did you use? She looks nice - good expression, the lighting is well done, it's not soft focused (for a change, and that's a good thing.) What Tammy said about fixing the jaggies on the headpiece. The only possible thing I could suggest is maybe try posing her differently. It might work, it might not - it's just that I've seen a lot of the getting ready to take off pose. BUT it very well may be the only pose that would suit this scene! Which comes together really well! It's just a thought :) And Thanks Very Much for using East texture, this render shows off those veins and you've made me feel my contribution is appreciated :)

Thank you all for you comments. i agree about the jaggies but did not notice them until i had uploaded her. I slipped up with my magic wand when i was selecting, i guess, and did not get everything .. lol.. for the face morphs .. i used several .. well loaded several(as Thorne suggested to do in one of his tutorials) and just sort of pushed the dials around a little at a time. i know i used like three different exotic eyes ones, sunken cheeks and high cheekbones(those are two of my favorites), lips out, eyes wide, eyes close, gosh i really could not list them all here but i can send you the .pz3 if you are interested? About the pose .. to be honest i have not seen it in any images but then i have not spent a lot of time going through the galleries except the ones of the people that i know and/or talk to on occasion. i did not know this outfit was so often used recently either until after i had her finished and uploaded(i might have chosen another if i had cause i hate to look like i am copying someone and i honestly wasn't) April, i love your textures a "lot" and as i said i had no postwork on her at all except for some smoothing around the brow and that was probably mostly because of the bump map i made from your texture. You do amazing work! Namaste, odyssey

I don't think I could begin to express how absolutely delighted I am to see you turn your astounding artistic skills, to an almost natural rendering skill, back to Poser. This program is likely one with more rendering power and hidden treats than any other 3D program on the market. I seriously doubt that any other program has as many new characters, textures, attributes, props, and extras created by the very people who use it, and shared by more people than any other 3 programs combined. Carla, you have a near inherent artistic gift of being able to aggrandize some of the harder effects from Poser that many others users have yet to achieve after a year of use. You have, in only 4 experiences using this program, make it stand up proud, dance with style, recite pure poetry of movement, and sing an entire symphony of visual resplendence. Four times, and you're already a near pro - and I can barely open a stock figure - let alone create such a masterful and gorgeous image. If you spend but another 2 or 3 months working with this amazing program - you will be turning heads, creating envy, impressing the real pros, and having a plethora of other users beg you for pointers. Just reading over the wonderful comments already paid to you above - there's already a strong hint of those very prophetic words coming true. Don't stop Carla, throw yourself into this program, the results, coupled with your artistic skills in PSP7 and others - you will soon be the queen of 3D rendering. This is a truly stunning image.

Stunning, indeed! This is the kind of image that gives me a whole new perspective on Poser.
