Description

Well everyone, since I'm almost at the end of my men series, I thought I would do an intro line-up of all the cast from our online Drama Series, The Beauty Of Man and Woman - since this is the beginning, here's a bit about the series. It began back in 1998 - I started it for two reasons, 1 reason, I was sick of the dumb plot lines of Daytime Soap Opera's. I'd started out with this line-up for watching. Guiding Light, Young & The Restless, All My Children, One Life To Live, General Hospital. However, as time went by, and the writers started getting a bit crazy with their story line ideas, one by one, all of the soaps listed, we're being ticked off my list. The last to go, All My Children! I'd had enough of Erica Cane being passed around from one man to the next due to the writers inability to keep her story lively, interesting and addictive with just ONE man. As I made that determination, to leave off of them, being a writer myself, I thought, hmmmm, wonder if I could carry a continuous series over a long period of time? I've always felt, there is nothing under the sun, more beautiful, than a happy couple, man and woman. The way a man loves a woman, and a woman who loves her man. Thus, The Beauty Of Man & Woman. I started it back in 1998 with the intent of keep it light and easy, just a bit of a happy, pleasant, tongue in cheek, sexy series that was not all that serious, just to flex my writing muscles you might say. No one knew of it. But I had free webspace from Yahoo's Geocities, and thought, what the heck! Now, a .com purchase later, 9 Series, 69 episodes, 211 chapters and 1,865 pages later; it has grown from - no one knowing about it, to 245 strong subscribed, addicted readers. To having to open, a readers circle, JK Readers Circle - our Forum dedicated to the series and other Interracial reads. Okay, enough... let's start the line up.
=========================== The Beauty Of Man & Woman introducing... Sylvia Lucinda Martin - Payne soon to be A McPherson * * * *
Newly widowed Sylvia Payne, yearned for a place of peace and tranquilty. Life insurance from her deceased husband was the ticket to it. She packed up all, leaving behind the noisy, hustle & bustle, high crime and stress of inner city Chicago for a small town life in Wisconsin. There within the small town, barely 453 citizens, 1% black & hispanic, is where she found her peace. This was her ideal. Closer as well to her teenage son & married daughter, both in college. If that were not enough, she was able to purchase a beautiful ranch style home on plenty of land, no immediate neighbors... well, except that one. Across the road, he'd just moved in, unfortunately. No matter, what did she care? Long as he stayed on his side of the road; he said his name was, "Shawn Everett McPherson" as if she had asked. Hmph! Anyway, he would stay on his side of the road, she sure as heck would be staying on her side. All would then be paradise. That's the way she wanted it, that's the way it would be. No Men Allowed! She declared to one and all! Men that is. No matter how charming, engaging, persistant her neighbor, him and his insufferable grin, he could take a hike for all she cared - because no matter what ideas or plans he had - she wasn't having it. Period!
Next... the man, "Shawn Everett McPherson" ... stay tuned. copyright

A very lovely portrait, Mercedes! She looks vaguely familiar but I can't place my finger on it. She's beautiful though; I'm sure she will have boyfriends in no time at all. :) I like what you did by giving her a painterly texture. Tres cool!
