Description

My first play around with Power Fractal Shader as a landscaper...I like it. The grass I eexported from Vue6PLE and it's a Carex variation. corrected for TG2 in PoseRAY very nicely, the stump is from one of us...speak up if you recognize your object, lost all my zips in a Restore so I dunno who's it is. All textures ar maps. All trees XFROG free Fir tree, lo res distance, hi res foreground. Thanx for lookin in.. ...

I wish I understood your explanation about the lo res and the power fractal as a landscaper ..... I have not played with TG2 for a while, I think it was just too overwhelming ... I really like this..... I like your distributions of rocks and trees very much - you've done a good job here. The stump is a nice touch and the clouds look very realistic. This is a well thought out piccy - well done!!

Great render, Bobby! Nice perpsective, and I like the whole of the landscape very much. Cool rocks and a super job on the trees. Aren't the power fractal shaders cool?! Lovely!

@ twistednoodle...the lo res and high res refers to the tree, free from XFROG at Planetside, of which there are 3 of each variety. I used the highest res for the foreground or close up tree and a population of the lowest res ones in the hills farther away. The power fractal shader is one way of generating a terrain in TG2.In the terrains tab click on the terrains box and a drop down appears with various choices, amongst them Power Fractal Shader.

Terrific work on this landscape!! I had problems coming to terms with TG2, but you are obviously making great progress with it! This looks a lot like a place just down the road from here. Keep up the great work.
