Sadly, Tex lost his battle for life on March 17th 2008. I disabled comments on this as the loss is still so painful. One day I will have only happy thoughts when I think of him and not the utter sadness I still feel more than 2 months on. --------------------------------------------------- This is our beautiful friend and companion, Tex - the little guy who's kept me away from Rendo for the last few weeks. He went through quite a lot earlier in the year, then just when he'd more or less recovered from it all, we found a huge lump under his tail. He had a major op to remove most of it (they couldn't cut all of it out) and he now has a rather large hole because they weren't able to stitch all of the cut because of where it is so it has to heal and close all on it's own. We thought we were going to lose him either because they couldn't operate or that it'd be cancer, but the biopsy result is that it's not cancer :) The particular type of growth though, is due to his testosterone, so to prevent any more forming and to reduce the size of the lump that's left in him, the poor lad will have to have another op when he's recovered from this to remove the parts that the guys would rather not think about ;-) I should be around a little more now until the next op as he's over the worst of it though he still does need lots of care, hugs and cuddles Thanks to everyone who sent IM's to give their well wishes to him. He sends lots of doggie snuzzzles backatcha :-) This pic was taken last year, just before all his troubles began.
