Description
Captured 4/24/07 around 7:30 AM about two-thirds of a mile from my humble dwelling.
I found that postwork be kept to a minimum on this one because any further tweaking would have destroyed the lovely mauve effect of this relatively simple beauty. Brightening the image would have reduced the flower to a pale and unappealing imitation of itself.
It doesn't have the huge amount of petals as many in its species, but it doesn't need it. It's just my opinion, but in this particular instance, I feel fewer is better.
Thanks for the visit on this fine weekend day!

The roses with broader petals are a favorite with me. I love the teas with their many rows but I love the more "old fashioned" roses best. Lovely photo.
