They all looked up at once as I approached, lining up like this for just a moment.
Who knows what that one lonely Willet was doing, hanging with the Godwits.

nice shot, well caught. the willet looks like he just wants to be in the pic, but the angle at which some of the godwits are tilting their heads makes me think that a falcon or other potential threat was high overhead. whenever i see birds looking up like this, i look up also, it is usually something interesting !
