Description
Taken at Skagit Valley Tulip Festival in Mount Vernon, Washington.
Every year thousands of people turn out to view and photograph the tulips at harvesting time. The farmers stagger the planting so that throughout most of the month of April the crops are available to view.
Immigrants from Holland moved to the Skagit Valley in the 1940's and 50's and begin planting bulbs brought with them from Holland.
Today Skagit Valley is one of the largest producers of tulips in the US.

Lens flare, yay! This is a neat PoV. I think you did very well in balancing the extreme sunlight while still capturing the colour of the flowers themselves.

I didn't get up there. Fortunately for me, one of my neighbors has about a million tulips in their yard. Looks like you had a great day! (What's that bright thing in the sky? Seems familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on it.)
