Description

Here is just two of the band members tat was playing. Not to the four that was drinking but a diff place. They had bands all over the place. I did not edit the band that the four was drinking too so I uploading this. I do not know what he playing or where they from. Do not know what the musuc was. All I know is I got as close to the band as I could for I just had the point and shoot camera as you see what type it is under the photo. Guess my wife did not like the band for as soon as I got the photos she say let go some place else to look around. She was behind me all the way to the front of the band in a pack sea of people. More than what you saw yesterday. I did not shoot the crowd here in front of this band. I did shoot some people as I was moveing around but they came out with movement in them and was messed up. That what I get for bumbing into people. Just say "sorry" and keep on turcking thanks for looking and comments too

I can't tell you much about where the band was from or the music but I can tell you that the stringed one is made from a gourd. A huge one at that! I have made a small one I call a Gourd-a-lalie. It was one of my big gourds and I scraped parts from a child's ukaleli to make it. But this one is state of the art! So very impressive! The drummer in back may be using one turned over as a beat. I didn't think of that. I made a drum from one that had the skin stretched over the open cut side like a regular drum. I'll have to look into the sound on a cut gourd hit from the bottom... Great shot and very interesting.

Hey, those dudes look they're from the Caribbean, perhaps Jamaica or Haiti? Splendid closeup shot of the guys, the lighting a bit dark for me, but excellent colors, clarity, balance and POV.
