Description

Whether it's indeed the case or not, when we left for Hawaii, my wife was under the impression that geckos were found all over the place on the islands. And indeed, they might be. However, it wasn't until we were at the Hilo Zoo that we came across this one. It was the only one we saw the entire time. Actually to be honest, we weren't even sure it actually was a gecko since it was just out on the plants, not in an exhibit, but we're reasonably sure it is. LOL. But I guess if it's not, let me know. :) John

I'm not sure this is a gecko, either. Cute little guy, though. :-) We saw them all over the place when we were there in March, but they all had orange spots on their backs. Errol or Dave will be able to ID it for you, I'm sure.

very green gecko...i have heaps that run riot through my house out night, the baby ones run around the floor, they dont know they are suppose to live on the walls and ceilings...lol being nocturnal they hide very well in the daytime hours...

We just call them lizards where I come from. LOL I used to play with ones that looked like this one when I was small. I always thought they were so cute. Awesome shot of this one!

This is fantastic photography. We used to get little fellas running up the walls at night when we used to live in Singapore. They were called "chic chacs" by the locals. This is excellent work John. Steve :o)
