Description

Good morning Rosity Family .. Hope this finds you all well and happy, and enjoying your day. :) Well, this is an Ant. A real tough one to identify LOL .. But I looked it up in my bug book just to make sure. There are a lot of ants out there; different kinds. At the time I was taking 100's of pictures of these little guys .. lens just inches from them, I was impressed at how hard they all work. One little grain of sand at a time, always moving, always hauling and building. Back and forth they go; they work well as a team. At the same time, I could hear off in the distance, my son pitching a fit with his Dad because he didn't want to help work on a rock wall in our back yard :-/ I think his Dad would love it if we were all Ants, as he works 24/7 .. minus 3 hrs a sleep maybe at night. Anyway, thanks a lot for stopping by. :) I hope this summer to get macro's of even smaller critters... perhaps a flee? :) I wonder what they look like upclose. lol Have a good one! Shari

These tireless little excavators are more energetic than their black cousins, and if I recall correctly, more aggressive. You got in a lucky shot her, as the subject won't stand still for a pose! Great capture.
